Summer Professional

Living in Maryland means hot muggy summers. I mean it can get upwards of 90 degrees as early as June and the humidity is no joke. But even with the heat, some of you still have to dress professional, and if you have to take public transportation, you may either change clothes at work or take a look at these outfit ideas.

If you work in a corporate environment you want to stay away from halters, tube tops, and thin strapped tops. This is conservative look, so keep your accessories and nail color simple and understated. Slip a pair of flats into your bag if you have to take public transport, or just to give your feet a break at the end of the day

If your work place allows you to be more creative, then you have more leeway to be trendy. Try color blocking, or wear a hi-low hem skirt. While you can be trendier with your nail color, I would stay away from neon colors; it’s still a professional environment. And with a pair of nude flats, you can keep your legs looking long when you take your heels of for your commute.

Students are professionals too. Even though it’s blazing hot outside, the classrooms are often freezing cold. Bring a jacket to class so your sun kissed arms don’t get AC frost bitten.
